The 2017 edition of the African Hair Summit will reflect various activities from the Summit in 2016. Importantly, a number of new businesses started off as a result of the Business workshops and new healthy hair lifestyles were adopted from the very impactful and enlightening health talks delivered at the event in 2016. As a result of this and more, the African Hair Summit in 2017 will assume the structure below.
Health Talks will be given by hair and skin experts to enlighten the public on the harmful effects of chemicals in both hair and beauty products.
Business masterclass workshops will be given by both local and international producers and manufacturers of organic hair products to registered participants and certificates will be rewarded afterwards.
Various manufacturers of organic hair products will be display and sell hair and beauty products at the summit.
Participants who will be attending the summit will be encouraged to showcase beautiful African attires and hair dos to encourage local fashion designers and celebrate our African Heritage.
There would be online photo contests that will be launched weeks before the event. The winners of the contest will be announced during the summit and their prizes awarded.
A number of hair braiding and barbing booths will be set up on the 3 days of the summit I 2017. This booths also known as the kiso corner will serve as a free hair making place for attending guests.
The gala night will take place on the 3rd day. The Fashion Show, Hair Contests, Raffle draws and Give aways will all take place during this event which will once again emphasize the need to maintain a healthy beauty culture, while celebrating our African Hair heritage.
